She replied,
\u201cSomeone?! EVERYONE is driving on the wrong side!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a meeting a few days ago, I couldn\u2019t find my keys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I quickly gave myself a full \u201cTSA-style pat down.\u201d
Nothing in my pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then it hit me\u2014I must have left them in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I rushed to the parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My husband has warned me many times about leaving my keys in the ignition. He\u2019s always afraid the car will get stolen. As I scanned the lot, I realized he was right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parking lot was empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panicking, I called the police, explained where I was, admitted I had left my keys in the car, and reported it stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came the hardest call of all\u2014to my husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI left my keys in the car\u2026 and it\u2019s been stolen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a long pause. I thought the call had dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he said,
\u201cAre you kidding me? I DROPPED YOU OFF.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it was my turn to be silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embarrassed, I asked,
\u201cWell\u2026 can you come pick me up?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He replied,
\u201cI will\u2014as soon as I convince this police officer that I didn\u2019t steal your car!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
