In a video posted to his official Twitter account, he thanked hospital staff for their care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHi everyone, I was deeply touched by all the support I received during my hospital stay,\u201d he said. \u201cI want to thank the doctors and nurses at UC Irvine Medical Centre for their excellent care over the past week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clinton added he plans to stay active and continue contributing:<br>\u201cI\u2019m going to do my best to be around, to keep doing the most good I can, for a lot longer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An aide clarified that Clinton had a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream but never reached septic shock. Doctors confirmed his fever and white blood cell count are now normal, and he will return home to New York to complete his antibiotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really glad to be back home, enjoying this beautiful fall weather. I\u2019m on the road to recovery,\u201d Clinton said, also urging others to pay attention to their health:<br>\u201cTake the time to listen to your bodies and care for yourselves.
