I placed the folders in front of my boss and explained that everything the team needed was inside\u2014every project completed overnight so work could continue without interruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had done it all from the hospital, working between updates from nurses, sitting beside my son. Then I said calmly, \u201cYou asked me to separate work from personal life. So I did. My son needed me there. The work still got done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
