A bright orange extension cord stretched across the yard, running from my neighbor’s garage directly to an electrical outlet on the outside of my house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, I assumed there had to be a simple explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it had been plugged in by mistake. Maybe someone planned to remove it later and simply forgot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But after tracing the cord to its source, it became clear that it had been intentionally connected without anyone mentioning it to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discovery left me more confused than angry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My neighbor and I had always gotten along well, so instead of reacting emotionally, I decided to speak with him calmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
