This leaves patients vulnerable to so-called <strong>balance billing<\/strong>, where you pay the difference between in-network and out-of-network rates. Some families have faced eye-popping bills in the tens of thousands for emergency air or ground transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <strong>How to handle a high ambulance bill:<\/strong><br>1\ufe0f\u20e3 <strong>Get an itemized bill<\/strong> \u2013 Check each charge and make sure it\u2019s accurate.
