The Veterans\u2019 Bus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Henry accidentally boards a bus filled with veterans. Since it is heading in his direction, he decides to stay. He sits beside a man who repeatedly jerks his head to one side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concerned, Henry asks what is wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI got this in the war,\u201d the man replies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry quickly changes seats. His new neighbor has a leg that keeps twitching and kicking the seat ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, Henry asks what happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry immediately moves away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man simply shakes his head and says, \u201cNo, I got it out of my nose. I just can\u2019t get it off my hand!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Three Veterans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Three old veterans are boasting about their ancestors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One says his great-grandfather fought at Shiloh when he was only thirteen. Another proudly mentions that his ancestor died with Custer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third veteran says, \u201cIf my great-grandfather were alive today, he would be the most famous man in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The others ask what heroic thing he did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNothing,\u201d he replies. \u201cBut he would be 165 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cowboy\u2019s Three Beers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A cowboy regularly orders three beers at once, drinking from each mug in turn. He explains that his two brothers live in different states, and they promised to share drinks whenever they drank apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day, he orders only two beers. The bartender assumes one brother has died and offers his condolences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cowboy laughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, nobody died. I joined the Baptist Church and quit drinking. My brothers still drink!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Clever Beggar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A man gives a beggar $2 every day. Later, the amount drops to $1.50 and eventually to $1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beggar asks why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man explains that his children are going to college, so he has less money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow many children do you have?\u201d the beggar asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFour.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beggar sighs and says, \u201cI hope you\u2019re not planning to educate all of them at my expense!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian Farmer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A Texan visiting Australia boasts about his enormous wheat fields and cattle, claiming everything is twice as large back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he sees kangaroos and asks what they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian farmer looks surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have grasshoppers in Texas?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Magic Desk<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Stanley finds an expensive antique desk advertised as magical. The shopkeeper demonstrates by asking it how much money he has in his pocket. The desk taps four times, correctly revealing four coins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stanley then asks how much money his wife has in the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The desk begins pounding all four legs wildly for several minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly, its legs spread apart and the drawers fall open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, even the desk is shocked by the answer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Smart Trainee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On his first day at a company, a trainee mistakenly calls the CEO instead of the pantry and demands a coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO angrily asks, \u201cDo you even know who you’re talking to?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
