A soldier named Dave was stationed overseas when he received a breakup letter from his girlfriend, Kim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She told him the long distance had become too difficult, admitted she had been unfaithful twice, and asked him to send back the photograph she had given him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave was devastated. After months of looking forward to coming home, he suddenly felt like everything he had been waiting for was gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One tossed a banana peel out the door. Another dropped a rock. Neither could see where the objects landed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the third soldier pulled out a grenade and threw it overboard, expecting them to see the explosion below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, while walking home, they came across a little girl crying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat happened?\u201d they asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI slipped on a banana peel that suddenly appeared on the road,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little farther along, they found a boy holding his head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA rock fell and hit me,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still confused about the missing grenade, the soldiers continued down the road until they saw an elderly woman laughing uncontrollably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
