She had once been a respected researcher, with work that had earned major recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sat there stunned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman I knew as the person who packed lunches, managed our home, and cared for our children had once built an impressive career of her own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the bottom of the box was a reunion program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her name was featured near the front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
