He comforted me when I felt overwhelmed, celebrated my successes, and stayed with me as we slowly grew from teenagers into adults. Everyone who knew us assumed marriage was simply a matter of time. Friends around us became engaged, got married, had children, and began new chapters of their lives. I never rushed Aaron, though.
