Lillian Droniak, better known online as Grandma Droniak, recently told her millions of TikTok followers that she had received a warning from the retirement community where she lives. In a viral video, the 96-year-old influencer held up what she said was an official letter stating that she could face consequences if she continued hosting late-night gatherings in her apartment.
According to Droniak, the notice explained that residents are not allowed to organize parties that disturb others and are prohibited from serving alcohol to fellow residents. Laughing off the warning, she joked that after paying a significant monthly fee to live there, she should be able to enjoy spending time with her friends. She insisted that although their get-togethers sometimes became lively, they were simply evenings filled with conversation, laughter, and gossip.
The letter she shared reportedly followed multiple complaints from neighbors about excessive noise. It stated that security cameras had recorded visitors leaving her apartment late at night and warned that continued violations of community rules could result in restrictions on guests or a review of her residency. The facility emphasized that while socializing is encouraged, gatherings must respect quiet hours and community safety policies.
Despite the warning, Droniak later posted another TikTok suggesting she had continued entertaining friends. In a humorous follow-up video, she joked about recovering from the previous night’s gathering and playfully declared that nothing would stop her from enjoying life.
Droniak moved into the retirement community in 2024 after suffering a broken leg in a fall. According to her representative, the disagreement with the facility has since been resolved, allowing both sides to move forward.
Her videos quickly attracted widespread attention online, with many viewers amused by her energetic personality and playful attitude, while others noted the importance of balancing social activities with community rules designed to ensure the comfort and safety of all residents.
