A man and a woman are in bed together when they suddenly hear a loud sound coming from somewhere inside the house.

The woman instantly freezes. Her eyes grow wide with fear as she turns toward the man and whispers urgently, “That’s my husband! You need to get out of here!”

The man panics. His heart pounds as he jumps out of bed, quickly grabs his clothes, and races toward the nearest window. He climbs through it, drops into the bushes below, and scrambles through the darkness as fast as he can.

After making it to the street, he stops for a moment, breathing heavily. The cold night air hits his face, but then a strange feeling comes over him.

Something doesn’t make sense.

He stands there thinking for a few seconds before suddenly realizing something obvious.

He turns around and heads back toward the house. When he reaches the door, he knocks.

A moment later, the woman opens it.

The man stares at her in disbelief and says, “Hold on… I’m your husband!”

The woman looks at him silently.

Then she folds her arms, raises an eyebrow, and gives him a knowing little smile.

“So,” she says calmly, “why did you run?”
