The Proud Mothers, the Unexpected Crossing, and the Journey to Heaven

Three mothers were sitting together, proudly talking about their children.

The first woman smiled and said, “My son graduated at the top of his class at Oxford. He’s a doctor now and earns about £200,000 a year in Chicago.”

The second woman nodded proudly. “That’s wonderful, but my son was also top of his class at Cambridge. He became a lawyer, earns around £400,000 a year, and lives in Los Angeles.”

The third woman quietly stirred her tea.

“My son wasn’t much of a student,” she said. “He never went to university. But he earns nearly a million pounds a year in London.”

The other two women looked impressed.

“What does he do?”

The woman leaned closer and whispered, “He’s a sports repairman.”

“A sports repairman?” one of them asked, confused.

She smiled.

“You know… he fixes hockey games, football matches, snooker competitions…”

The room suddenly went silent as the other women understood exactly what she meant.

The Clever Way Across the River

Three hikers were traveling together when they suddenly reached a huge, raging river.

The current was powerful, the water was full of debris, and there was no obvious way to reach the other side.

The first man dropped to his knees.

“God, please give me the strength to cross this river!”

Suddenly, he became incredibly strong.

He jumped into the water and fought against the current for nearly two hours. He was tossed around, swallowed water, and nearly drowned several times, but eventually he reached the opposite bank completely exhausted.

The second man watched and decided to pray too.

“God, please give me the strength and the tools I need to cross this river.”

In an instant, a sturdy boat and a pair of powerful oars appeared.

He climbed in and began rowing.

The river fought him every step of the way. Waves slammed against the boat, and several times he nearly capsized. After about an hour of struggling, he finally reached the other side.

The third man studied the situation carefully.

Then he knelt down.

“God, please give me strength, the right tools, and the wisdom to cross this river.”

A bright flash appeared.

And suddenly, he had been transformed into a woman.

She looked around, noticed the map the three men had been carrying, opened it, and studied it carefully.

A few moments later, she walked several hundred yards upstream.

There, she found a bridge.

She calmly crossed it and continued on her way.

The Road Into Heaven

Three men stood outside the gates of Heaven.

Before them was a magnificent bridge leading into paradise.

An angel stood nearby and explained the rules.

“Your reward for crossing the bridge will depend on how long you were faithful to your spouse.”

The first man stepped forward.

“I was married for five years,” he admitted, “but I cheated three times.”

The angel handed him the keys to an old pickup truck.

The second man approached.

“I was married for eleven years,” he said. “I cheated only once.”

The angel gave him the keys to a beautiful Mercedes.

Finally, the third man stepped forward.

“I was married for twenty years,” he said proudly. “I never cheated. We loved each other completely.”

The angel smiled.

“Well done.”

He handed the man the keys to a spectacular gold Lamborghini.

The man jumped in and sped across the heavenly bridge while the other two followed behind.

Several hours later, the first two men found the Lamborghini parked outside a diner.

The third man was sitting at a table with his head buried in his hands, crying uncontrollably.

One of them approached him.

“What happened? You were given the best car of all. Why are you crying?”

The man lifted his tear-filled eyes.

“Why am I crying?”

He pointed down the road.

“Because half an hour ago, I saw my wife…”

The other men exchanged nervous glances.

One finally asked, “What was she driving?”

The man started crying even harder.

“Driving?”

He shook his head.

“She wasn’t driving anything.”

He paused.

“She was riding a skateboard!”

The three jokes now read smoothly as a single collection, while the final punchline can be tightened for stronger comic timing without changing its meaning.
