The Tired Dog Who Had Found the Perfect Place for a Nap

A tired-looking dog wandered into a man’s yard one afternoon. After checking the dog’s collar and seeing that he was healthy and well-fed, the man realized the dog clearly had a home.

What surprised him was how confidently the dog entered his house. The dog walked down the hallway, jumped onto the couch, curled up, and quickly fell asleep.

About an hour later, the dog woke up, stretched, walked to the door, and waited to be let outside.

The next day, he returned.

And the day after that.

Every afternoon, the same routine repeated: the dog would arrive, take a peaceful nap on the couch, wake up, and leave.

The man eventually became curious. He attached a note to the dog’s collar:

“Your dog visits my house every day for a nap. I don’t mind letting him rest, but I’d love to know where he lives and why he keeps coming here.”

The following day, the dog returned with a note of his own.

It read:

“He lives with four children. He’s just trying to catch up on his sleep.”

The man couldn’t help laughing. Then he noticed one final line:

“Can I come with him tomorrow?”
