1. What Did You Learn About Jesus?

A Sunday School teacher asked her preschool students to learn one interesting fact about Jesus before their next class.

The following Sunday, she gathered everyone together and asked them what they remembered.

Susie quickly raised her hand.

“He was born in a manger!”

The teacher smiled.

Bobby went next.

“He chased the money changers out of the temple!”

“Very good,” the teacher said.

Then it was Little Johnny’s turn.

Johnny sat proudly in his chair, looking completely certain that he had the best answer.

“Jesus has a red pickup truck, but he doesn’t know how to drive it.”

The teacher looked confused.

“Johnny, where did you learn that?”

“From my dad,” Johnny explained.

“Yesterday, we were driving down the road when a red pickup pulled out in front of us. Dad got really frustrated and shouted, ‘Jesus Christ! Why don’t you learn how to drive?’”

The teacher suddenly understood exactly where Johnny had gotten his information.

2. Where Is Jesus?

A Sunday School teacher wanted to make sure her young students understood that Jesus was no longer a baby.

So she asked the class:

“Can anyone tell me where Jesus is today?”

Steven raised his hand.

“He’s in heaven.”

“Wonderful,” the teacher said.

“He’s in my heart.”

“I know where Jesus is!”

“Where, Johnny?”

“He’s in our bathroom!”

The teacher stared at him for a moment before asking, “And how do you know that?”

Johnny answered confidently:

“Every morning, Dad knocks on the bathroom door and says, ‘Jesus Christ, are you still in there?’”

Suddenly, the teacher understood.

3. The Dark Porch

A little boy was nervous about going outside after dark.

One evening, his mother asked him to go onto the back porch and bring her the broom.

“I don’t want to go outside,” he said. “It’s too dark.”

His mother smiled.

“You don’t need to be afraid. Jesus is out there, and He will protect you.”

The boy looked toward the dark porch.

“Are you sure He’s out there?”

“Yes,” his mother replied. “Jesus is everywhere and is always ready to help.”

The boy thought about it for a moment.

Finally, he slowly opened the back door and looked outside.

“Jesus?”

He waited.

Nothing.

He tried again.

“Jesus?”

Still nothing.

Then he had an idea.

“If you’re out there,” he called, “could you please pass me the broom?”

And suddenly, the dark porch didn’t seem quite so inviting anymore.
