America’s 250th Anniversary Passport Is Coming—Here’s Why Everyone Wants One! 👀

To mark the United States’ 250th anniversary in July 2026, a special commemorative passport is expected to be released as part of the nationwide celebration.

The limited-edition passport will feature unique patriotic artwork, including a portrait of President Donald Trump and a gold-colored signature. One of the interior pages will showcase an illustration depicting the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The cover is planned to feature prominent gold lettering reading “United States of America,” while the back will display the American flag alongside a special “250” anniversary emblem surrounded by stars.

According to information from the U.S. State Department, the commemorative version will be available only through select in-person applications in Washington, D.C., during the Independence Day celebration period. Production is expected to be limited, with approximately 25,000 to 30,000 passports anticipated.

Individuals applying by mail, online, or from locations outside Washington, D.C., will continue to receive the standard U.S. passport rather than the anniversary edition.

Officials have stated that while the commemorative passport will feature enhanced artwork and collectible design elements, it will maintain the same security protections and travel functionality as regular passports. The State Department has also indicated that applicants will not be charged an additional fee for the special edition.

The passport release is one of several initiatives planned for America’s 250th birthday, joining other commemorative programs and national celebrations scheduled throughout 2026.
