Sandra had spent fifteen years convinced that she knew Aaron better than anyone. They had grown up side by side, shared countless memories, and built a relationship she believed was strong enough to withstand anything. Aaron started answering certain calls away from her, became unusually protective of his phone, and began keeping something in a drawer Sandra had never noticed before. She also noticed the name Vanessa appearing from time to time, but she decided not to ask about it.
